Amaryllis

Nothing like some delicate, sweet smelling flowers in the middle of winter.
A promise of Spring.
Quite appropriate for today.

Thank you, Sister Sue!
Mom would have loved these!

I have no idea what a real winter is like and I can't even fathom negatives but I'm trying to send you some warmth.

The flowers are beautiful!

Dearest JoAnn,
What do they say ... Hope springs eternal! Spring will be here before you know it and we'll all be enjoying its splendor. But I must admit, I'll miss these days of snuggling in and regrouping.

Dearest Dandy,
Honestly I love the winter ... and even though I may complain ... for me, the cold is an excuse to bundle under the covers or sit at the window and just watch nature redecorate the landscape.
The flowers are so pretty and smell so great! Thanks!

Thanks for the visit, Brian. There's nothing like flowers blooming to make everything all right with the world!

Those are so beautiful! Spring is on it's way! But, like you, I love winter too. I was born for cold weather, and I don't even get that much of it where I live! As with every year, I'll be sad to see winter go. :o)

Are those paper whites? I adore them! I have to be careful putting them out though, because Don doesn't really love how they smell. I do, and every woman I know does. But every guy I know doesn't. Anyway, your photo is gorgeous, and thank you for sharing today.

Hey, C-Dub,
You remembered. ;-}

Dearest Elle,
For me, the passing of the seasons usually brings a bit of reflection. I know I'll be so enamored by spring when it gets here ... Those flowers are a great boost, and I enjoy them so much. I guess I have the best of both worlds right now ... a crisp coldness with a touch of spring!

Dearest Ruth,
Is that right? I love the way they smell. I couldn't believe how tall they've gotten and now they've really started to open up! Tony really hasn't said anything about the smell, but he does have a bit of a cold.
Thanks, Ruth!!

Dearest LBDD,
How unusual for your part of the country!
We were up in the 40's yesterday ... it was so lovely, but today cold again and foggy AND dreary! Glad I have the flowers to brighten things up a bit!

Dearest Jingle,
I've done the commenting ... now I have to think of a poem for Thursday!!!!

Have a great weekend!
