We had a group of strange characters who visited the cottage recently.
I wasn't exactly sure how they would all relate, but despite their different personalities, I was really amazed at how well Elvis, and Princess Leia and Yoda got along!
(Elvis has always been the showman, hasn't he?)

We feasted on things like witches' fingers ...
And read scary books about Halloween kittens.

One character in particular could not help showing off his fearsome teeth!
It was quite a memorable evening!

Ahh!! Cottage Girl! Perfectamundo!
That first portrait, where Elvis is his vainglorious self, Yoda looks a bit bemused, and Princess Leia (hahahahaha) has recently been coiffed so beautifully is super-frameable.
Those witches' fingers! Wow!
And those frightening TEETH. You guys really know how to celebrate. I am so tickled and a little jealous, wanna be a kid again, at your house.
Come on over, Ruth. We all act like kids around here most of the time!! Brayden did that pose perfectly, didn't he?
Fun times!
Ooooooh, I'm scared and oh-so-charmed at the same time! Love El's pose, he's doin' it right! Princess Leia is adorably searching for her Han Solo. And those teeth are blindingly cute!
Such fun!
Dear Susan,
It certainly was a frightening time with all of those characters! I bet your brood will sweep you away with their fright and their charms!
Look at those rosy cheeks!
Those kids are adorable!!
What exactly are those witches fingers?
Thanks, Dandy! We think those kids are pretty nifty!
Those witches fingers are cookies. You can find the recipe from Martha Stewart called Ladies' Fingers. The fingernails are blanched almonds dyed with red food coloring. They look great when put in an erie bowl on top of crushed Oreos.
I've been making them for so long, everyone expects them at Halloween!
